Functions

The crane/winch electrician will:

• Diagnose electrical problems and install and rewire electrical components.
• Examine and test machinery, equipment, components, and parts before installing or replacing parts and instruments using hand or power tools.
• Disassemble broken or defective equipment to facilitate repair and reassemble equipment when repair is complete.

Required

• High school diploma (college courses preferred)
• Knowledge about basic and specialty tools and test instruments
• Effective verbal and written communicator
• Decision-making and troubleshooting abilities
• Understand ship repair/building industry legal and commercial requirements
• Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and working independently preferred
• Ability to train team members
• Planned and unplanned travel
