License Requirements

The following U.S.Coast Guard licenses and documents are required to work onboard ECO vessels:

  • Unlimited Tonnage Master (Near Coastal/Oceans)
  • Unlimited Tonnage Mate (Near Coastal/Oceans)
  • 1600-Ton Master (Near Coastal/Oceans) - (3000 and 6000-Ton endorsements available)
  • 1600-Ton Mate (Near Coastal/Oceans) - (3000 and 6000-Ton endorsements available)
  • 100-Ton Master (Near Coastal/Oceans)
  • 100-Ton Mate (Near Coastal/Oceans)
  • 500-Ton Master (Near Coastal/Oceans)
  • 500-Ton Mate (Near Coastal/Oceans)
  • Chief Engineer-Unlimited
  • Chief Engineer-Limited
  • Chief Engineer-OSV
  • Assistant Engineer-Unlimited
  • Designed Duty Engineer-Unlimited 4000 HP, 1000 HP - (3000-Ton endorsement)
  • Able-Bodied Seaman (AB)-Unlimited, Limited, Special, OSV
  • Qualified Member Engine Room Department (QMED)-Oiler
